- ➤ A local family escaped injury after a gas oven fire caused about $20,000 in smoke damage at their duplex on Reynard Lane on Feb. 18, and the Idaho Falls Fire Department quickly shut off the gas + advised residents to check smoke alarms and keep flammable items away from heat. KXPI
- ➤ A Boise music artist was critically injured in a rollover crash near Ammon on Monday evening and is now in intensive care with a traumatic brain injury & a broken nose, while investigators review evidence that speeding contributed to the crash. East Idaho News

- ➤ KIFI celebrated 65 years of broadcasting as weather reporting evolved from simple maps and manual markers to modern computer systems — former weathercaster Steve Cannon recalled using plexiglass and water-soluble markers in early broadcasts. KXPI
