COMMUNITY NEWS

  • The Idaho Falls Music Club has supported local music education since 1912—offering lessons and scholarships that help young musicians grow. The club will host its free Scholarship Winners Concert on March 20th at 7:00 p.m. to showcase local talent.  KXPI
  • In 2011, local volunteers transformed the old Sportsmen’s Park into the Japanese Friendship Garden — a space built to honor a sister city tie with Tokai Mura and remember the 2011 earthquake and tsunami in Japan. The garden grew from early city beautification efforts and is maintained with donations and volunteer work for families to enjoy.  East Idaho News

  • The East Idaho Chamber Music Series will host a concert featuring works by the Mendelssohn siblings — Fanny and Felix — at the Downtown Event Center on March 19 at 7:30 p.m. with general admission at $15 and free entry for students.  East Idaho News

ECONOMY NEWS

  • A new study by SmartAsset finds that Idaho residents are considered middle class if their household income is between $49,956 and $149,884—while in Boise the range is $53,313 to $159,954—using recent Census data and Pew Research guidelines. The study, published on March 16, 2025, shows how local incomes compare to national benchmarks.  East Idaho News
