- ➤ The Miller household at 55th East and Idaho Highway 26 has seen sand damage to their well and appliances since the recharge basin expansion began last year. State officials installed a sand filter and set a public hearing for April 2 at 1:30 p.m. at the Bonneville County Courthouse to address concerns—raising fears of falling home values and public health risks. - ➤ Idaho senators Jim Risch and Mike Crapo introduced the Cellphone Jamming Reform Act to let state and federal prisons block inmate communications after a 2024 prison escape involving Skylar Meade led to three IDOC officers being shot. - ➤ Yesterday, Governor Brad Little signed a controversial bill that allows law enforcement to enforce national immigration laws—soon after the ACLU of Idaho filed a lawsuit to block the measure. The lawsuit names five anonymous noncitizens— the Idaho Organization of Resource Councils— and The Alliance of Idaho as plaintiffs, claiming the law is unconstitutional. KXPI
