COMMUNITY NEWS

  • The Idaho Falls Downtown Development Corporation is asking individuals, organizations, and businesses to sponsor flower baskets, wreaths, or flowerpots to brighten downtown and support a local program funded by the Historic Downtown Foundation. Sponsorships cost between $80 and $120 and must be submitted by April 11, 2025—selected on a first-come, first-served basis where the necessary infrastructure is available.  KXPI

BUSINESS NEWS

  • Owner Jose Leon and his partner Limairi Chavez launched Flying Bike, a seasonal bike rental business with 10 bikes available for rent at Rush’s Kitchen Supply at 345 Lindsay Boulevard—customers can rent bikes online 24/7 through the On Bike Share app and the service will launch its 2025 season with a grand opening in mid-April and run until early November when weather permits.  East Idaho News

CRIME NEWS

  • The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone who sees a brown Toyota Tundra from the late 1990s to early 2000s at Sandcreek Commons to call if they have any information— the vehicle has been repeatedly linked to vandalism that caused thousands of dollars in damage to parked cars with smashed windows, broken headlights and taillights, and slashed tires.  East Idaho News

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation announced that two popular group campsites will be reserved through a lottery for the 2025 season at Priest Lake State Park and Bear Lake State Park—this system will give all applicants an equal chance. Applications will be accepted from March 31 to April 15 with stays available from May 22 to September 2 and a nonrefundable fee of $25 applies.  KXPI
  • Today, the City of Falls and HK Contractors will start work at the intersection of Anderson and North Boulevard to upgrade waterlines from North Boulevard and Anderson Street to Holmes Avenue—drivers should follow detours and slow down during the summer-long project while homes and businesses stay accessible.  City of Idaho Falls
