- ➤ Residents and local commissioners in Idaho Falls testified Tuesday morning to discuss a proposed 180-day moratorium that would pause new mining applications for aquifer recharge projects near a home with water quality issues. County officials called for improved regional permitting while a canal company attorney warned that any delay might affect timely water recharge (studies show the project could add 240 acre-feet daily).
