- ➤ Snake River Animal Shelter at 3000 Lindsay Boulevard is offering 12 pets for adoption including Cherry, an 8-month-old pit bull-lab mix, and Chatty Kathy, a 2-year-old shorthair cat - the shelter is open Tuesday-Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday until 5 p.m. East Idaho News
- ➤ United Way of Southeast Idaho and the Idaho Children’s Trust Fund joined other groups at a community resource fair at the Museum of Clean Event Hall during Strengthening Families Month to boost awareness of local family resources; booths from city agencies and nonprofits offered help including free health services. - ➤ Sounds Choir staged its concert-style production of The Hunchback of Notre Dame on Thursday and will reprise it today at Thunder Ridge Performing Arts Center (featuring a 39-piece orchestra and a 70-person choir) with music from Disney’s 1996 film. KXPI
- ➤ Former Ammon mayor Sean Coletti leads Idaho Falls Opera Theatre’s production of Puccini’s 'Gianni Schicchi & Buoso’s Ghost.' The show runs April 10, 11, and 13 at the Frontier Center for the Performing Arts in English, set in Florence, Italy in 1299 + offers a fun twist on tradition. East Idaho News
- ➤ The Art Museum of Eastern Idaho will open its Young at Art Exhibition on April 4 with free admission and an art project + a Second District Congressional Art Competition showcasing high school work; the winning piece will be announced at a reception on April 8 at 5:30 p.m. KPVI
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ District 91 officials said every student receives a full meal today regardless of unpaid lunch balances; the district currently carries about $38,000 in unpaid accounts & the general fund will cover these costs while families can apply for free or reduced-price meals. KXPI
- ➤ College of Eastern Idaho + INL are launching a summer dual-credit program for local high schoolers to earn college credits while exploring STEM fields. The program runs June 2 to July 23 at the CEI campus and features an info session April 13 at 7 p.m. for interested families. KXPI

- ➤ Eastern Idaho Public Health hosted a Block Fest event on Apr. 2 in Idaho Falls to spotlight the role of families in healthy communities, and will hold another event on Apr. 8 at the Madison County Library in Rexburg for families to explore, play, and learn. KPVI
