  • Families across the region will celebrate Easter with several egg hunts in April—Idaho Falls hosts the 10th Annual Great Easter Egg Hunt at Snake River Landing with multiple age groups starting at 9:45 a.m., while nearby towns offer special events and fundraisers throughout the weekend. Residents in Ammon, Iona, Pocatello and others will also have opportunities for fun and community gathering.  East Idaho News

ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Idaho State Police are investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash that occurred at about 8:10 p.m. on April 7 on SH 26 near 100 N in Bingham County—where a 58-year-old man driving a maroon GMC Jimmy failed to yield and hit a 29-year-old motorcyclist who died at the scene while his juvenile passenger was taken to a local hospital.  KXPI
  • One person died in a semi-truck crash Friday morning on I-84 when a 33-year-old driver from Dietrich lost control of his Kenworth truck loaded with lumber at 8:30 a.m.—he was not wearing his seatbelt.  KPVI
  • Last Wednesday, a Ford F-150 crossed the center line while traveling south on U.S.-91 in Shelley and struck a Honda CRV, killing the Ford driver at the hospital and the woman and her daughter at the scene — Idaho State Police continue investigating the crash.  KPVI

  • Deputy Attorney General Stephanie Guyon warns Idaho drivers that texts claiming unpaid toll fees are scams—she said no official agency sends fee notices by text and urged them to delete such messages to avoid malware or identity theft.  KIVI-TV

  • Cirque Italia Water Circus will perform in Idaho Falls from April 18 to April 21 at the Grand Teton Mall. The show features 25 international performers and a 35,000-gallon recycled water stage synchronized with lights, sound and music plus a unique clown storyline meant to engage all ages.  East Idaho News

  • The city of Idaho Falls announced that renovations at the Frontier Center for the Performing Arts began today with construction including site preparation and installation of a temporary fence for safety. The center remains open for guests using north, stage plus west entrances while ADA upgrades are added.  KPVI
