- ➤ Starting Monday, Apr. 13, a section of S 5th W from 49th to 65th will be closed for about 8 weeks for new sewer and water main installation at Christ Community Church. Motorists should use alternate routes + plan for delays while homeowners keep access. KXPI
- ➤ The Idaho Period Project will host a gala fundraiser on Saturday, April 25 in Idaho Falls to raise funds for providing period supplies to girls and women who lack access. Local volunteers expect the event to support students who rely on school dispensers during summer. KXPI

- ➤ Due to warm weather and a dry winter, local water restrictions will go into effect on April 15, limiting lawn watering to every other day until Oct. 15. Homeowners will follow a schedule based on their house number + Sunday remains open for watering. KXPI
- ➤ Crop advisor McKay Anderson launched the new Ag Water Tracker app in eastern Idaho two weeks ago to help farmers track and report water usage during a second consecutive drought — water levels remain low. The app will send monthly readings to the local water district for efficient tracking. East Idaho News

- ➤ The Idaho National Laboratory opened the world’s first nuclear reactor test bed for privately developed microreactors on April 8. The facility will soon start a year-long test by Radiant’s Kaleidos Demonstration Unit and aims to lower costs and speed up licensing for advanced nuclear energy. KXPI
- ➤ The Idaho Department of Labor urged over 150 laid off Intermountain Packing workers to seek unemployment and training resources this week.
