🎭 Culture
The Museum of Idaho has opened its new exhibit Signs of the Times where visitors see vintage signs and artifacts that tell over 100 years of Idaho history—items include a room key and matchbox from an early 20th century hotel.
The exhibit will run through the rest of 2025—giving local viewers plenty of time to visit.
🏛️ Government
Thomas Sutton served as mayor from 1949 to 1951 and played a key role in securing Idaho Falls as the headquarters for the Atomic Energy Commission by lobbying officials during the selection of the National Reactor Testing Station—today known as Idaho National Laboratory.
His successful efforts helped shape the city's growth and lasting impact on nuclear research.
Friday night, a small group gathered outside the Bonneville County Courthouse in Idaho Falls to light two candles in remembrance of Paul Revere's 250-year-old ride.
County officials read a resolution and proclamation as part of Two Lights for Tomorrow Day—an event planned to boost patriotism ahead of America's 250th birthday.
