- ➤ Tomorrow at 6 PM, the Mountain America Center will host a homecoming celebration for the Spud Kings with food trucks, a beer garden and a DJ. The event follows the team's first Dineen Cup win—achieved with a 2-1 victory over the South Shore Kings. KXPI

- ➤ Toby Merritt, a 30-year-old service technician at Precision Boats, was recognized as technician of the year by Indmar Marine Engines and named outstanding technician of 2025 by the American Boat and Yacht Council. He has worked at Precision Boats since 2015 (receiving the Indmar award in February) and plans to keep advancing his training (to meet industry standards). East Idaho News

- ➤ A man and a woman from Rigby were arrested after they allegedly sold THC concentrate to an undercover detective in a Walmart parking lot in Idaho Falls—Cristian Balderrama, 26, and Casandra Alvarez, 19, now face felony trafficking charges. East Idaho News
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Idaho Falls will host its annual Clean and Green Citywide Cleanup beginning May 1 to help residents get rid of household waste, brush, construction debris and bulk items at designated drop-off locations. City Sanitation and Code Enforcement staff will be on duty on the first four weekends in May between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.—making spring cleaning easier for those who need help. East Idaho News
- ➤ The Bonneville County Transfer Station will be closed from May 12th to May 16th (for maintenance work) while tires, freon items, used motor oil and lead acid batteries will still be accepted. Municipal and household waste will be diverted to the Peterson Hill Landfill and metal and cardboard recycling will be available at the Bonneville County Hatch Pit. KPVI
- ➤ An agreement between Idaho and the U.S. Department of Energy will let Idaho National Laboratory receive spent nuclear fuel for research while a fuel cask from Virginia is set to ship in 2027—additional shipments from university reactors will follow over the next four to six years and support a long-term research cycle with federal funds and job growth. - ➤ The City of Idaho Falls launched its new Resident Discount Card program on April 28th, offering eligible residents discounts at select parks and recreation facilities. Residents must pick up their card in person at the Recreation Center on Memorial Drive with proof of residency and a valid photo ID — office hours are Monday through Saturday. City of Idaho Falls
