- ➤ On March 17th, 2023, 25-year-old Dylan Wormsbaker was hit on his motorcycle when a van driver failed to yield, causing a traumatic brain injury that led to his death—his parents said his wish to donate his organs saved over 102 lives. East Idaho News
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Gem Prep Charter School will be built in Idaho Falls after it abandoned its Ammon site due to local safety concerns, and the new campus will cover 45,000 square feet on six acres at North 5th East with completion expected in 2026. The school is set to be the second campus in eastern Idaho with another planned for Rexburg in 2027 — marking a shift in its expansion strategy. East Idaho News

- ➤ Last month, about 300 martial artists from Idaho and other states gathered at Bonneville High School for the annual Battle at the Falls taekwondo tournament hosted by Ferocity ATA — which has held one of the region’s three tournaments for 12 years — and earned team medals in sparring events. Ferocity ATA qualified for the Pacific Northwest District Championships in June and will aim to return with even more competitors. East Idaho News
