  • Reginald, a 3 foot 3 inch Great Dane, was recognized by Guinness as the world’s tallest dog after testing confirmed his record even though he started out as the smallest pup in his litter. He lives with his owner Sam Johnson Reiss on a 25 acre spread west of town—he eats treats, basks in the sun and even drinks from the sink.  East Idaho News

CRIME NEWS

  • A 35-year-old woman crashed her car on East 1st Street near Amy Lane Monday night at 10 p.m. and later became combative at the hospital—she was arrested on charges of battery on a health care worker, second-offense DUI, resisting arrest, and disturbing the peace.  East Idaho News
  • On May 5, Bonneville County Deputies arrested 35-year-old Kristin C. Jones after her red Honda slid into a ditch on 1st Street near Amy Ln in Ammon — she ran red lights, showed signs of intoxication, and assaulted personnel, leading to charges for DUI, battery on a health care worker, resisting arrest, and disturbing the peace.  KXPI

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Local law enforcement will hold rape-aggression-defense classes at Rigby High School on May 13, 15, 20, 22 and June 3, 5 from 7 to 8 p.m.—the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office and Rigby Police invite community members to sign up for these sessions.  KPVI
  • The sixth Judicial District Magistrates Commission is selecting a new judge to replace Paul Laggis—who will retire on July 31st—as 11 candidates have applied and public comment forms are available from the trial court administrator’s office until May 26th.  KPVI

HEALTH NEWS

  • Dr. Bret Mooso of Mooso Orthodontics+ will retire on May 23 after a 33-year career serving patients in Idaho Falls, and he built a trusted practice over three decades. His office will hold an open house at 1580 Elk Creek Drive from 3 to 6 p.m.+ two new doctors will take over patient care.  East Idaho News
