Good morning, Idaho Falls.

Hundreds gathered at Snake River Landing on Saturday morning for Rehabilitative Health Services' 10th annual Hustle Mental Health charity 5K that raised nearly $15,000 to support mental health and fund People in Need Coalition's nearly 2,000 free meals each week—totaling over $101,000 raised in ten years.

On May 9, community members, students, and city officials planted 17 trees at Heritage Park to celebrate Arbor Day and 33 years as a Tree City USA—where a new swing was installed to honor past mayors.

The event showed Idaho Falls' long-standing commitment to caring for its green spaces.

An Idaho Falls man wanted for a Friday high-speed chase was arrested Saturday after SWAT officers used an armored Bearcat to approach a house on the 1700 block of Burlwood Drive at 5:30 p.m. — he tried to run out a back door — and he now faces charges including evading police, carrying a gun, drug crimes and a probation violation while drugs, paraphernalia and guns were found in his car.
