EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ College of Eastern Idaho was named an Opportunity College and University by the Carnegie Classification on May 11, making it the only institution in Idaho—and one of 479 nationwide—to earn the honor. The new designation shows the school’s strong work to open up education and help students get good jobs. East Idaho News
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Today, the Idaho Falls Public Library launched its new drive-thru pick up service, which allows library card holders to pick up materials from their vehicles (the service is on the east side near Park Avenue) following a ribbon-cutting celebration on Friday with the Greater Idaho Falls Chamber of Commerce. Library Director Robert Wright (who oversaw the project) said the service will make accessing books easier for busy patrons. East Idaho News
