- ➤ The Community Food Basket received 36,000 lbs of food from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints—a donation coming at a critical time as summer food needs grow—during a nationwide anniversary initiative on Tuesday afternoon. Director Ariel Jackson said the donation helps serve up to 7,000 people in Idaho Falls. East Idaho News

- ➤ Idaho Fish and Game moved 34 elk from Big Willow Creek to Unit 7 in the Panhandle as part of an experimental effort to mitigate crop damage caused by a nonmigratory herd, capturing cows on May 4 and May 5. Three elk died during transport (a known risk of sedation). KIVI-TV
