- ➤ Duck season officially opened in Idaho Falls as the Rotary Club started duck sales during its 34th annual Greenbelt Duck Race to raise funds for the greenbelt and Heritage Park. The event will run on August 8 and 9, and a duck drop at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday — with 30,000 ducks released into the Snake River and the first duck to cross winning a 2025 Kia K4 from Stones Kia— will feature classic cars, live music and speed boat races. - ➤ Funland at the Zoo will open for the season tomorrow, May 23rd, offering families classic rides, snacks and fun near the Idaho Falls Zoo at Tautphaus Park. The park will operate Mondays from noon to 8 p.m. and Thursdays through Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. until Labor Day weekend. KXPI
- ➤ Organizers from the Idaho Falls Rotary Club announced that the 34th annual Great Snake River Greenbelt Duck Race will have a pre-race event on August 8 at 6 p.m. and the race on August 9 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.—the event will include a duck drop near The Falls overlook, live music, free food and a grand prize of a 2025 Kia K4 donated by Stone’s Kia to raise funds for improvements to the River Walk and Heritage Park.
