ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A small apartment building at the corner of Lomax Street and North Higbee Avenue in Idaho Falls caught fire Wednesday evening and residents got out safely when firefighters arrived at 9:13 p.m.—the fire started accidentally in the kitchen of a ground-floor apartment and was quickly put out—though a young couple lost nearly all their belongings. - ➤ Chick-fil-A in Ammon is facing a lawsuit after former employee Thomas Wade alleged he endured racist abuse from co-workers and supervisors starting in December 2022 — Wade claims management ignored his repeated complaints about racial slurs and a hostile work environment while denying him a leadership opportunity. The suit names franchisee Lauren Mosteller and covers several incidents reported over a period of months. KXPI
- ➤ Thomas Wade, a former Chick-fil-A cook from Ammon, filed a lawsuit against operator Lauren Mosteller after he said that coworkers and bosses made racist comments and created a hostile work environment from December 2022 until his firing in October—he is asking for money to cover his losses. - ➤ Idaho Falls Police are searching for missing juvenile Donna Coleman—15 years old, a white female about 5'9 in height and 100 pounds with hazel eyes and brown hair featuring blonde highlights—who was last seen May 29 at 5:30 p.m. and anyone with information should call dispatch at 2085291200. - ➤ Idaho Falls teen Steven Gaxiola Urias, 17, graduated from Skyline High School on May 30th at the Mountain America Center and will attend Yale University in August on a full-ride scholarship, aiming to study political science and become an immigration attorney (a first in his family to go to college).
