  • Make-A-Wish Idaho is hosting its Walk for Wishes fundraiser today at Russ Freeman Park in Idaho Falls plus registration begins at 9:00 a.m. and the walk starts at 10:00 a.m. The event will grant a wish on site and aims to raise $19,500 to fund two wishes for 19 local wish children.  KPVI

  • A fire burned near Inkom yesterday in the Upper Rock Creek Area near Jackson Creek and Nestor Rd—residents are on stand-by as officials investigate the unknown cause and size of the blaze.  KPVI

  • Musicians and music fans are invited to join a jam session today at McCowin Park in Ammon as part of National Make Music Day—Chesbro Music Co. and No Limit Guitar Co. are hosting the event where participants can bring their instruments and a lawn chair to share music and learn from each other.  East Idaho News
  • The Art Museum of Eastern Idaho will host Chalk Fest Community Day on July 12th as it teams with Teton Toyota to offer live chalk mural demonstrations, free chalk pastels, food trucks, and music. Professional artists will be on site and community members can claim sidewalk squares to create their own art pieces — reviving a cherished summer tradition.  KPVI

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Due to bridge demolition, the northbound Inkom entrance ramp onto I-15 will be closed from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Monday, June 23, and Tuesday, June 24 — weather and other factors permitting. Motorists must use a detour — via Old Highway 91 to Exit 63 — while work continues on the bridge.  KXPI
