CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Bonneville County deputies and Idaho Falls ambulance responded on Monday to North River Road where a man with a gunshot wound was found—he was taken to a hospital where he later died and has been identified as Daniel William Leary with no known threat to the public. KPVI
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Yesterday, Bonneville County commissioners partnered with the U.S. Forest Service to start repairs on Bear Creek Road—work that will reopen access to Calamity Campground, the Snake River Boat Club, and summer homes cut off by a 2023 landslide. The Forest Service will provide up to $825,000 for the repairs while the county accepts bids from qualified contractors in July. KXPI
- ➤ Ammon Mayor Sean Coletti said on Wednesday he would not run for a third term after 16 years of service and noted his decision comes as he shifts focus to other community projects — opening the way for new leadership. Brian Powell, a former city councilman and current sewer district president, plans to run for mayor at the next election. East Idaho News
