COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Family and friends of Jaiden James Snyder are hosting a car meet and fundraiser to honor his memory and raise mental health awareness after his tragic death Tuesday along Curlew Drive — the event will be held July 9 at 7 p.m. near the parking lot of 2404 South 25th East in Idaho Falls.  KXPI
  • On Feel Good Friday, a Crispy Cones employee named Moroni helped a family recover a lost retainer when it fell into melted ice cream and trash—he bent down on his hands and knees to search for it while EastIdahoNews.com partnered with Ashley and Ashley Outlet to honor his kind act.  East Idaho News
  • Ellie Daniels, crowned Miss Idaho 2025 last month, started a service project — The Greatest Gift — to help mothers with their mental health while she studies to become a nurse practitioner. She plans to spread her work across all 44 counties and will leave for the Miss America pageant at the end of August.  KPVI
  • Kelley's Canyon Orchard is a 117-year-old family-run cherry orchard north of Filer that suffered an April 2024 freeze which cut short its harvest. The orchard is open Wednesday through Sunday and brings seasonal fruit to the Boise Farmer's Market every other Saturday — showing the family's ongoing commitment — while offering visitors a quiet rural retreat.  KIVI-TV

BUSINESS NEWS

  • Neon Boom Fireworks opened last month at 5475 Beach Drive to offer a full lineup of consumer fireworks for celebrations all year—providing local residents a nearby option instead of driving further.
