- ➤ On July 4 at 2:42 a.m., Idaho Falls Police went to a Fred Meyer parking lot after a 911 call reported a stabbing at Shady Rest Campground and found a victim helped by Fire EMS, and later SWAT arrested 30-year-old Mariano Rodriguez—who had left the scene—at a Mojave Street home just before 8 p.m., and he is now in county jail for Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Instrument. - ➤ Over the July Fourth weekend, Idaho drivers filled up at gas pumps as prices held steady at $3.42 per gallon for regular gas despite a record 72.2 million travelers, according to AAA Idaho.
