- ➤ Two local families led by Gray Augustus & Dusty Bee are organizing a Disney trivia night called The Crown of Knowledge Disney Trivia Adventure to raise funds for the American Cancer Society by September after personal losses to cancer. - ➤ A Burley man, Benjamin Naylor, was arrested on Tuesday following a traffic stop and now faces four counts of first‑degree murder linked to a quadruple homicide that began with a 911 call at a home in Rupert, with victims later found in Cassia and Minidoka Counties, and he is being held without bond while hearings are set for July 18 and July 23. - ➤ A 44-year-old man was arrested Tuesday night in Idaho Falls after he allegedly hit a woman with a metal rod in a shed near the 2000 North block of 5th West and then attacked a man; he faces two felony counts of aggravated battery and one misdemeanor count of resisting arrest—authorities said he was intoxicated and attempted to flee by hiding in a tree. - ➤ On Tuesday at the Waterfront, community members and educators met to voice concerns that House Bill 93—signed by Gov. Brad Little on Feb. 27—will use $50 million in public funds for private school tuition. Leaders including Superintendent Karla LaOrange, PTA President Jamie Braithwaite, and teacher Jake Snarr said the program risks further cuts to public school budgets. East Idaho News

- ➤ The Idaho National Guard completed two high-altitude rescue missions since late June — rescuing a hiker from Mount Borah on June 27 with a two-wheel landing and helping another near Decker Peak in the Sawtooth Range on July 6 by lowering a crew for first aid before transporting both individuals to safety. Both missions were carried out under challenging conditions and marked significant achievements in the Guard’s rescue history. KIVI-TV
- ➤ Crews have resumed milling and paving in several Idaho Falls areas with nighttime work on Lindsay Boulevard and the intersection of Utah and Pancheri Drive limiting lanes today—today at that intersection is down to one lane in each direction—and a detour at Sunnyside Road and Woodruff Avenue will be in effect from Saturday night through Monday morning while work is expected to finish in one to two weeks.
