CRIME NEWS
- ➤ The Idaho Transportation Department and local law enforcement warned Idahoans today that scam text messages claiming to be from the Department of Vehicles and demanding immediate payment for fake traffic tickets are fraudulent — officials advise blocking, deleting, and reporting such texts, noting the messages may originate from abroad. - ➤ A local group said sex crimes are often not reported while police confirmed a man is in custody for crimes linked to several counties across Eastern Idaho—domestic violence experts advise victims to be careful when meeting online contacts and to get full names before meeting. KXPI

- ➤ Boise State Public Radio may lose 20% of its budget after the House voted to cut over $1 billion in federal funding, an action that could leave rural Idahoans without key news like weather alerts and emergency updates — the station will look for new funding to keep its services running. KIVI-TV
- ➤ At the Madison County Sheriff's Department camp, youth completed their week with water safety training and fun at the Black Tail camp area.
