  • Development Workshop Inc. in Idaho Falls has received 30,000 ducks for the 34th Annual Great Snake River Greenbelt Duck Race scheduled for Saturday August 9th. DWI staff & clients are preparing the ducks by cleaning, removing old stickers, applying new ones and discarding out-of-place ducks to benefit Snake River Greenbelt projects.  East Idaho News
  • Lulu, a 2.5-year-old mixed breed dog who loves people, is best suited for an experienced owner in an adult-only home with no other pets—Snake River Animal Shelter manager Romi Weaver advises adopters. ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Idaho State Police said two 18-year-old boys were taken to a local hospital after a 2023 Kia Sportage hit a 1990 International Truck on southbound I-15 near Idaho Falls on July 21 at 7:58 p.m.—emergency crews blocked the lane for about 1 hour and 20 minutes while investigating the crash.  East Idaho News
  • On Saturday just before 5 p.m., a 32-year-old woman from Idaho Falls was hospitalized with minor injuries after her 1985 Chevy Blazer, towing a 1970 flatbed trailer, rolled on its side on US Highway 26 east of town—while a 33-year-old man traveling with her was unharmed, and authorities are investigating the crash.  KPVI

  • British Swim School will open its first Idaho location on August 5 inside Gold's Gym in Ammon, where franchise owners Kyla and Josh Danos will offer year-round swim lessons for anyone three months of age or older. The school, which features programs for all skill levels, aims to boost water safety in the community (they will also participate at Ammon Days from August 1-3).  East Idaho News

CRIME NEWS

  • Madison County convicted 46-year-old Nathan Archibald from Rexburg of poaching crimes after a two-year investigation found he illegally killed eight deer; he accepted a plea deal+which includes 60 days in jail and a $7,000 penalty+, and his hunting license is revoked for ten years.  KPVI

HEALTH NEWS

  • Low-dose radiotherapy is a non-invasive treatment that uses very low levels of radiation to reduce joint inflammation and improve mobility in patients with osteoarthritis. The therapy is completed in six brief outpatient sessions and is covered by many insurance plans (with minimal side effects), offering a new option for those who have not found relief through other treatments.  East Idaho News
