- ➤ Idaho Falls Community Food Basket got 200,000 pounds less food than this time last year and now can only provide four to five days of meals for families instead of a full week; executive director Ariel Jackson said local nonprofits are also feeling the drop & may need to cut back on sharing supplies if donations do not rise. - ➤ Popular Aaron Ball Band will headline the Idaho Foodbank Music Festival on Saturday, August 2 at 6 p.m. at Tautphaus Park with additional acts including American Idol finalist Paige Anne + country singer Andrea Alonso + local ska-punk group The Opskamatrists; all donations will support the Idaho Foodbank’s fight against hunger. - ➤ The Museum of Idaho is offering two guided tours of the Wasdencroft Archaeological Preserve this August. Guests aged 12 and up will leave the museum and ride to the site (located in the Arco Desert) to explore lava-tube caves with evidence of human activity dating back over 13,000 years (tours are set for August 15 and August 29).
