- ➤ The City of Ammon will host the annual Ammon Days celebration at McCowin Park from August 1st to 3rd with 22 hot air balloons launching early each morning and events like Ammon Has Talent on Friday and a Glow Night with illuminated balloons, music, food and vendors. Saturday will feature nearly 170 vendors, family rides, games and attractions – free shuttle buses will run from Hillcrest High School to the park all day. KXPI

- ➤ Robert Carabotta, an Ohio native and ordained pastor, was hired in May as the new headmaster at Hope Lutheran Church & School to teach preschool through eighth grade while the school undergoes a $3 million expansion project—adding six classrooms and a larger common area. He will begin his role this fall as Pastor Garen Pay focuses on ministry—pending city permits to start construction soon. East Idaho News

- ➤ The Idaho Transportation Department is doing inlaid striping operations in Idaho Falls — lane closures went into effect yesterday on state highway 33 between Sage Junction and Rexburg, U.S. 20 west of town, and the I-15 business loop from Sunnyside Rd. to Yellowstone Rd. and Broadway. Crews work during the day on highways and will work through the night on the business loop — work is expected to finish by August 15. KPVI
- ➤ Idaho Falls Power is advancing a project to build four electric vehicle charging stations with the first site scheduled to open this fall near Memorial Drive in Idaho Falls. The $3.75 million project will receive equipment shipments as soon as this week and combines federal funding with a local cost share of $750,714. East Idaho News

A high-end apartment complex called The Reverie at 1385 Snake River Parkway will be completed in March 2026, a nearly finished hotel on Utah Avenue is close to final, and a four-story hotel at 651 Pancheri Drive is expected to open before July 4, 2026—each project aims to boost local housing and tourism options.
