- ➤ A Mountain Home father, Ron Dudley, founded Bridging the Gap to help families affected by suicide after his daughter died 11 years ago. The group meets every six to eight weeks and will have its next gathering on August 23 at Pioneer Federal Credit Union on 250 W 3rd S St — it brings local mental health experts and law enforcement together to support grieving families. - ➤ Idaho Falls Downtown Development Corporation is testing an app-based parking meter to increase parking turnover by extending on-street limits to four hours and adding increasing fees, with the system set to roll out in October (the first hour costs $1, hours two and three cost $2 each, and the fourth hour costs $10 with a $20 citation if time expires). The new system will help keep downtown parking affordable while encouraging more visitors. East Idaho News
