ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ An Idaho Falls city worker died while on duty on Saturday morning and emergency responders arrived at the scene—officials reported no sign of foul play and city leaders extended their condolences to the worker’s family. KXPI
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ AAA Idaho reported that gas prices remained calm in Treasure Valley while rising in eastern areas—Idaho Falls and Pocatello saw a six cent increase per gallon as prices edged higher in Twin Falls, Coeur d’Alene, and Franklin. The agency noted that tighter crude supplies and a planned shift to winter-blend fuel may help lower prices soon. East Idaho News

- ➤ Idaho Falls High School responded after a Saturday half-time show when the football team returned early, disrupting the marching band and possibly damaging equipment. Coach Joseph Parker apologized—saying the team will replace any damaged items as the school reviews the incident and sets new protocols. KPVI
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Starting today, water levels on the Snake River near the city plant are being lowered for an underwater inspection of Idaho Falls Power hydro-electric facilities. The iconic falls will not flow for several days—residents are advised to exercise caution near slick banks and hidden hazards. KPVI
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Oklo broke ground on its first aurora powerhouse at the Idaho National Laboratory Site on Monday morning & local leaders including Governor Brad Little and Idaho Falls Mayor Rebecca Casper spoke at the event. The project will fuel its reactors with recycled materials, create over 300 construction jobs and add more than 70 skilled jobs once it is operational, marking a new chapter in nuclear energy for both Idaho and the U.S. KPVI
