- ➤ Snake River Animal Shelter at 3000 Lindsay Boulevard in Idaho Falls will celebrate 10 years of operation and invite the community to a free full-day event on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The celebration will include food vendors, raffles and a free hot dog lunch sponsored by Western Rivers Financial Group — Thrivent, along with a mini mutt strut and an appearance by Reginald, the world’s tallest dog. ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Idaho Fish and Game says a lone hiker was injured near Squirrel Creek in Fremont County on Tuesday, September 30 when a bear charged him from thick timber and bit him as it passed — the hiker self-rescued, sought medical care, and staff posted warning signs to remind visitors to follow proper safety precautions — as the agency classifies the bear's actions as defensive. - ➤ Deleta Skating will bring back its unique haunted escape room — Escape the Madhouse — to help save Idaho from a virus with a zombie-themed limo, clowns, live actors and jump scares, and it will open Friday October 10th at 7 p.m. KPVI
