- ➤ Garden to Give is back and helping to collect fresh produce from community gardens as a government shutdown increases pressure on local food banks. Marshall Public Library is accepting donations until the end of October—donated produce will go to the foodbank to help meet community needs. KXPI
- ➤ Brady's Plant Ranch, located at 3525 East Virginia Road, has planned its annual fall festival that will offer skin products, goat milk, raw honey, baked goods, and local craft jewelry with free admission and $5 wrist bands for carnival games. It will also host Haunted Acres on October 18 and October 25 at 7:30 p.m.—the event uses no-touch live actors and is not recommended for young children with a $12 admission. KPVI

- ➤ Authorities continue to search for 15 year old Kaiden Pulliam, who went missing on October 6th after last being seen at Idaho Falls High School, and his family urges anyone with information to call Idaho Falls Police (2085291200). KXPI
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Idaho began its 2026 ACA health insurance enrollment on October 15 — rising tax credit concerns mean that 117,000 enrollees could face doubled premiums if Congress does not act, and the online marketplace remains open until December 15. Citizens are urged to secure coverage with local agent help to ensure protection starting January 1. KXPI
- ➤ Local Zumba instructor Sheandi Richins will host a free Zumba event at Infinity Dance Studio on Saturday, October 18 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.—all proceeds will benefit Jolene Smith, a local mother battling breast cancer. KPVI
- ➤ Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center built a healing garden near its front doors for patients, family, and community members to relax—its opening ceremony will start today at 11:00 a.m.—and the garden features brick paths, comfortable furniture, and garden bells funded by donations from Insure-It-All and the EIRMC Auxiliary.
