- ➤ Tracy Cox— a security officer at Mountain View Hospital with 35 years of service—went above and beyond when she traced a patient’s lost 40 oz. water bottle using camera footage and guided the patient to the correct entrance. She is being honored on Feel Good Friday through a partnership with Ashley and Ashley Outlet to recognize exceptional community service. East Idaho News

- ➤ Local business owner Mario Hernandez from Idaho Falls has been nominated for the TIME Dealer of the Year award for turning Teton Toyota into one of east Idaho’s most respected auto groups and will be honored at the National Automobile Dealers Association show in Las Vegas (recognizing top auto dealers) on February 5th. - ➤ The Bellhouse at the Idaho Falls Country Club offers a blend of classic and unique dishes using sustainable ingredients at its fine-dining space at 11511 South Country Club Drive. The club plans to open the restaurant to non-members this winter and Chef Jace Burroughs said changes such as using beef tallow improve the flavor in its recipes. East Idaho News
- ➤ A local street soup vendor won three awards last month in Greater Idaho Falls—best in gold for catering, best sandwiches and soups, and silver for its cookies. Chef Libby Hercher said the team works hard to make fresh, handmade meals that help people stay warm. KXPI

- ➤ The College of Eastern Idaho earned its fifth consecutive gold award—named Greater Idaho Falls' top trade and technical school—and thanked its students, staff and supporters for their role in providing quality education. KXPI

- ➤ Boise State Broncos and Idaho Vandals renewed their basketball rivalry in an exhibition game last Friday at 7 p.m. at Idaho Central Arena, marking their first meeting in over a decade. Coach Leon Rice said the extra 10 minutes after regulation + allowed his staff to evaluate the full roster and may lead to the rivalry returning to a regular schedule. KIVI-TV
- ➤ USA TODAY 10Best has nominated Idaho ski areas in all 10 Hit the Slopes categories, with Grand Targhee Resort in Driggs competing for Best Ski Resort—Ketchum, McCall and other destinations also earned nods as awards are announced. Voting will close on Nov 10 at noon EST and readers may vote daily in each category until the polls close. East Idaho News
