- ➤ Idaho Falls community leader Carrie Getty Scheid died Tuesday after battling cancer. She dedicated over 30 years to the arts, animal welfare, and civic projects—she is survived by her husband Jerry Scheid and funeral plans have not yet been announced. KXPI
- ➤ Local Catholic leaders said five priests will soon leave because of new immigration rules that may disrupt services for thousands in eastern Idaho—Rev. Francisco Flores noted some areas could feel the impact as early as March. The diocese is making plans to keep services running while leaders urge parishioners to contact local politicians. East Idaho News

- ➤ The Skyline Grizzlies lost 3-2 in the girls’ soccer state tournament first round at Middleton High School on October 23 after a late own goal gave the Vallivue Falcons the upset win. Coach Jeremy Johnson said the team will regroup and play Twin Falls at 11 a.m. today—hoping to turn the loss into a chance to compete for a consolation trophy. East Idaho News
