A local Secret Santa is giving $1 million in gifts to deserving people in eastern Idaho this holiday season—gifts will be delivered daily by the East Idaho News elves until year’s end.
One recipient, 85-year-old Sharon Wilson, lost her adult son last week and struggled to afford his cremation until the Secret Santa stepped in with help.
The Fall Bazaar Craft Fair will take place on Saturday, Nov.
8 at Bonneville High School from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. — the free event will offer a 15-dollar cash gift card giveaway to 15 winners and free cinnamon rolls for the first 100 shoppers. It will also feature 120 vendors, including 30 new spots after a school remodel — celebrating 15 years of the beloved local event.
The city of Ammon is hosting its annual Nogathon on Saturday, Nov.
8 at McCowin Park, where participants will drink eggnog and run four laps to kick off the holidays. Check-in starts at 1 p.m. and the fun run features a noncompetitive race — many runners even dress in costumes.

The Art Museum of Eastern Idaho in Idaho Falls received a grant from the CHC Foundation to start building its new education center—adding classrooms, studios, and a gallery to boost art classes and community programs.
Museum director Alexa Stanger said the funding is a vote of confidence in the museum’s future.

Ruby is a 3.5-year-old mixed breed dog at Snake River Animal Shelter chosen as Pet of the Week—she is well-behaved with other dogs, is potty-trained, and is best for homes with kids 12 and older.
Visit the shelter Tuesday through Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday until 5 p.m. to meet Ruby.
