  • The Idaho Falls Zoo announced the death of Sid, a beloved gray gibbon euthanized on November 4 after he suffered worsening gastrointestinal issues that did not improve with treatment—zoo staff and volunteers said his loss is deeply felt. Staff recalled his playful nature and close bond with visitors, leaving the zoo community mourning his absence.  East Idaho News

  • On November 4th, 240 Melaleuca employees received bonus checks at the company’s headquarters south of Idaho Falls for their long service—totaling $2,834,388 based on years worked. ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • A wildlife technician from Idaho Fish & Game encountered an adult mountain lion and two juveniles near a GPS-tracked mule deer carcass in the Owyhees and shouted at the animals while slowly backing away—her actions follow recommended safety measures. GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • In October, 118 mayors in Idaho walked enough steps to earn $107,500 for community projects — the funds will support playgrounds, school equipment, and park improvements. The challenge set a record in its 12-year history and was organized by the Blue Cross of Idaho Foundation for Health.  East Idaho News
  • Idaho Falls Regional Airport advises passengers to arrive two hours early this Thanksgiving season to allow time for parking, check-in, and baggage screening—preparing for a 50% increase in travelers with over 4,000 seats scheduled during peak days on Nov. 22, Nov. 25, and Dec. 1.
