  • A local Secret Santa is giving away $1 million in gifts to eastern Idaho residents for the holiday season. The East Idaho News elves surprised Chaeneal— a hardworking mom who mows lawns and shovels snow—by gifting her a lift seat for her truck to help safely move her daughter in a wheelchair.  East Idaho News
  • Today, thousands of visitors attended the 15th annual Bonneville Fall Bazaar and Craft Fair at Bonneville High School—vendors sold homemade treats, holiday decor and clothing while artists performed live demonstrations. Long-time seller Beth Milligan and 14-year-old painter Naarya Noel showcased their work, helping families find unique items for the holidays.  KXPI

CULTURE NEWS

  • Shoshone Bannock Casino Hotel will host its 19th annual Veterans Day Powwow on Friday, Nov. 14—opening with grand entries at 12 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the Chiefs Event Center. The event will feature traditional Native American music, dancing that includes a special Veterans Dance, and vendor booths honoring local heroes.  East Idaho News

EDUCATION NEWS

  • College of Eastern Idaho celebrated its first-ever POST Patrol Academy graduation on November 8 as five graduates finished an 18-week training and began work in law enforcement—Spencer Anderson and Karlie Van Orden joined the Idaho Falls Police Department, James Bagley and Kylie Hansen joined the St. Anthony Police Department, and Jacob Miller became a deputy with the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office.  East Idaho News
