- ➤ Hundreds filled the Madison High School gymnasium in Rexburg to honor veterans who served our country—organized by the Rexburg Area Chamber of Commerce with performances by the school band and choir to teach youth about their sacrifice. KXPI
- ➤ Local Air Force veteran Jim Gyorfy of the Collector’s Corner Museum—honored today with a metal American flag bearing the Air Force insignia by friends and family—marked the museum’s 22nd anniversary as part of a Veterans Day tribute in Idaho Falls. KXPI
- ➤ Idaho Falls community leader Carrie Getty Scheid, who died on October 21 after her battle with cancer, is being posthumously honored as the 2025 Cecil D. Andrus Volunteer of the Year by the Idaho Community Foundation. Her husband and stepdaughter will accept the award on her behalf at the gem ball on November 20 at the Boise Center East. KPVI

- ➤ Fit 1, a 24/7 gym, opened its fourth location near McDonald’s off Ammon and Lincoln Road yesterday and will have its official grand opening on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.—offering $1 memberships for the first two weeks and weight-lifting challenges with free soda and cookies at the event. - ➤ Wild As You, a boutique store owned by Hollie Albertson, will open Nov. 21 at the old Rogers building downtown Idaho Falls — a 1,200-square-foot space that will offer a custom hat and denim bar with a design studio for private parties and host a grand opening celebration from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. East Idaho News

- ➤ The Nutcracker Magical Christmas Ballet came to Colonial Theatre today in Idaho Falls and enchanted the audience as dancers from around the world performed under choreographer Viktor Davyduik’s direction—Talmi Entertainment's touring production will continue its run for the next two months—bringing holiday cheer to the community. - ➤ Thousands attended a rock concert at Mountain America Center on Saturday night as Loverboy opened the show—playing hits like Turn me Loose and Working for the Weekend—while Styx headlined with popular songs such as Come Sail Away and Best of Times. KPVI

- ➤ Persistent drought has reduced American Falls Reservoir to 3% capacity, which has lowered oxygen levels and stressed local trout populations. Idaho Fish & Game announced fish salvage orders at several reservoirs and will begin stocking American Falls later this month with 250,000 fingerlings and 42,000 catchable-sized trout while Idaho Power adds 9,000 catchable trout.
