- ➤ The Idaho Falls Regional Airport is expected to break its record when the 316,045th passenger boards a flight this week, surpassing the previous record of 316,044 from 2022. Officials chose not to hold a public celebration because of the federal government shutdown — instead they provided lunch and launched a food drive for TSA workers until they receive their next paycheck. - ➤ Idaho Falls Power secured a 20-year contract with BPA after three years of negotiations — a deal estimated to save ratepayers about $105 million over the contract’s term — and the new Peaking Plant will boost energy flexibility.
