- ➤ Gretl, a longtime Dixie’s-Diner waitress in Idaho Falls facing cancer and rising bills, was selected by a Secret-Santa gift initiative that will deliver daily surprises to locals through the holiday season until year’s end. East Idaho News
- ➤ Today, the Idaho Falls Fire Department warned residents to keep Christmas trees at least 3 feet from heat sources (fireplaces, heaters, or radiators) and to use only certified lights to reduce fire risks. They advised daily watering and secure setup to help families enjoy a safe holiday season. KXPI
- ➤ A local non-profit will host the annual Guns n' Hoses hockey fundraiser tonight at 5:30 p.m. at Mountain America Center in Idaho Falls, where youth players in police + firefighter themed jerseys will face off and $10 tickets will support local first responders. KPVI
