ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ On Tuesday afternoon, an excavator struck a 4-inch gas line near Red Robin on East 17th Street, forcing the evacuation of the restaurant and Wells Fargo Bank and temporarily closing eastbound traffic; Intermountain Gas secured the leak within 20 minutes and reopened roadways. East Idaho News

- ➤ Idaho Falls is providing spots for live Christmas trees until Jan. 31, and residents must remove all ornaments & lights before dropping them off. The disposal sites are available for city residents only. KPVI
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ The Shelley girls’ golf team earned a fourth-place finish at state and was named East Idaho Sports girls’ golf Team of the Year, led by senior Mallory Higham (a top performer) and coached by Wallace Foster. The finish sets the stage for future success. East Idaho News
- ➤ Shelley's senior Mallory Higham was named 5A volleyball All-State Player of the Year after leading her high school team to a fourth-place finish in girls' golf at the state championship. - ➤ Thunder Ridge High School senior Justin Anderson won his second state boys’ golf title on Dec. 24 at Nampa’s RedHawk Golf Course — later signing a letter of intent to play NCAA Division I golf at Boise State University. The win followed a tournament where he rebounded from inconsistent play. East Idaho News
