- ➤ A two-vehicle rollover on Pancheri Drive near Culver's in Idaho Falls at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday caused minor injuries when one car flipped over — emergency responders assisted a female driver while police advised nearby traffic to seek alternate routes. East Idaho News

- ➤ Heritage Park in Idaho Falls held a ribbon-cutting on August 28—opening a new interactive hydropower exhibit that teaches locals about the 125-year history of hydropower. - ➤ Idaho Fish and Game will begin a fish salvage order on August 30 through October 31 to let anglers harvest fish from the flatwater part of Mackay Reservoir as Big Lost River Irrigation District drains it for dam work and future upgrades — methods using firearms, explosives, chemicals, or electric current are not allowed. This order aims to maximize public use of the fishery before declining water levels cause many fish to be lost. KXPI
- ➤ Fire crews are battling the Willow Creek Fire that has burned over 4,000 acres and is now 12% contained—rainfall has allowed crews to work on the fire’s edge and strengthen control lines, while residents along Milepost 75 south to Salt Pass and west of Highway 89 from Reevesschwab lane to Gomms Pond should stay alert for potential evacuation orders.
